Cub Scout and Boy Scout Advancement

Merit Badges

In order to advance through the Boy Scout program, Scouts must complete merit badges. Donald E. Scott Colorado Adventure Point understands the importance of making sure that requirements are met and the Scout understands the information presented.

Scouts taking a merit badge class are required to talk with their Scoutmaster regarding the badge, and receive a signed Blue Card to bring to class.

Please note the following for all merit badge courses:

  • Lunch is not included. Scout must bring a sack lunch and a beverage.
  • Scout is required to attend all sessions to earn credit.
  • Scout must bring a signed Blue Card.
  • Please bring paper and pencil.
  • Please bring a signed BSA Health Form at check in.

Upcoming Merit Badge Classes

Spring Forward to Eagle - Family Life, Personal Management and Personal Fitness - Three Month Merit Badge Workshop

In two classes separated by three months, Scouts will spend the first class earning requirements and working together to accomplish tasks. Scouts will also create a Google document log so that they may keep records of improvement as the badges stipulate.

Parents, Merit Badge Counselor and Scout leader will have access to this log to help remind the Scout to keep it up to date.

At the second class three months later, the Scouts will have the opportunity to display their results and to finish any remaining requirements.

Cost is $50. Both classes will be held at Colorado Adventure Point.
