Join us on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Donald E. Scott Colorado Adventure Point, 10455 W. 6th Avenue, Ste. 150, Lakewood, CO  80215 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm for an introduction into MIG Welding.

This course will provide a hands-on introduction to the principles of MIG welding. MIG welders use a feeding wire as the electrode, providing the current and filler metal with a single trigger pull; joining ferrous metals with bods that are stronger than the metal itself. MIG welding at Colorado Adventure Point uses flux core wire, removing the need for argon gas as a shield. This type of gas-less MIG welding is a useful, low cost hobby.

Participants will learn the basic concepts of welding; practice setting voltage and wire feed speed as well as, different types of welds. A variety of metal thicknesses and old car parts will allow everyone to express their learning and artistic side.
